Jojo
Hey, I’m Jojo. Best known as Avril Lavigne’s number 1 fan and also the guitarist of the band GHUM. I was born in Malaysia, raised in London, and proudly a ‘norf weezy’ Londoner.
Coming from the DIY punk scene, where I met Vanessa, I’ve worked with bands from very early on and racked up a lot of mileage with my own band GHUM. Now with over eight years of touring experience as a musician, driver and tour manager, I’ve circled this tiny island they call the United Kingdom many times, as well as the dream of touring Europe with one of my favourite bands, Soft Kill, and performing at SXSW in Austin TX and The New Colossus Festival in NYC. I’ve also played at Haldern Pop Festival in Germany and Canelaparty in Spain beside artists such as Dinosaur Jr, Anna Calvi and Pup.
From seeing first-hand as a musician, there is certainly a need to diversify the touring industry, and we’re here to take action.

Hi, I'm Vanessa. I'm a multi-instrumentalist musician, tour manager and mother to a screaming cockatiel. I'm born and bred London and originally came up through the DIY metal and hardcore scenes here. I play in the bands Whitelands and Grunt and I tour as a session musician with Big Joanie. I've been touring for over eight years now and have clocked up my fair share of road miles across the UK, EU and the USA.
I've had the privilege of playing 5,000+ capacity venues while opening for bands such as Placebo, Skunk Anansie, Idles, Le Tigre and Courtney Bartnett as well as playing festivals such as Decolonise, Glastonbury and Roskilde. All these opportunities have led to the creation of networks behind the scenes and added urgency to the conversation around diversifying the live touring industry.
